Sprawling All-Inclusive mega-resort, steps from the greens and the sand – All-Inclusive fun abounds at this sprawling 123-acre property. Though there is plenty to do besides golf, this is a true golfer’s hideaway, with 3 challenging 9-hole courses, a deluxe spa that overlooks the Jack Nicklaus signature greens, and the Junior Golf Suites providing luxury accommodations just steps away from the fairways.
Accommodations: The air-conditioned rooms and suites are distributed among 16 three-story hacienda-style buildings divided into 2 sections, Sunrise and Nizuc. Each comes with a private balcony with an ocean or garden view, a double Jacuzzi, satellite TV, a coffee maker, a mini-bar and a liquor dispenser, a digital safe, bathrobes and slippers, a hairdryer, and turndown service. TIP: Presidential and Junior Suites are the best bet for golfers. They’re the closest to, and have excellent views of, the greens.
Dining & Entertainment: Take your pick among 13 buffet and a la carte restaurants, serving Asian, Brazilian, Italian, seafood, and more. A Mexican restaurant has night-owl service from midnight to 4:00am, and room service runs 24 hours. Your children can choose from a special lunch menu at the kids' club. There are 12 bars, live music, and a discotheque. Join in the fun at the casino, with a sports book, electronic bingo center, and 240 slot machines.
Recreation: The sports marina has equipment for kayaking, windsurfing, and more. The 2 fitness centers have cardio machines and steam baths and offer yoga and Pilates. Play tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, mini-golf, and paintball. Go bicycling, and face the challenge of the climbing wall. The resort also offers select tours. NOTE: Although the white-sand beach is groomed nightly, the water tends to become thick with seaweed, making it less than ideal for swimming.
