Budget-friendly, All-Inclusive high-rise on the beach – This resort is located on one of the largest stretches of beach in Riviera Nayarit, overlooking Banderas Bay and just 10 miles from the quaint shops and cafes of Puerto Vallarta. A large pool is located above the beach, shaded by swaying palm trees.
Accommodations: The air-conditioned rooms and suites have beautiful marble floors, and many have excellent views of the ocean. Amenities include satellite TV, irons/ironing boards, coffee makers, hairdryers, and more.
Dining & Entertainment: The resort offers 3 dining options for discriminating palates. Topacio is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, laying out a buffet feast each evening. Le Troje's presents traditional Mexican fare while Caruso's, featuring Italian specialties, is a more formal dining experience with a "no shorts" policy and reservations recommended. Guests on-the-go can pick up a snack and a drink at the beach bar. Cocktails are also served at the lobby bar and Olas bar, which also features nighttime Karaoke and theme parties.
Recreation: Complimentary water sports equipment is provided on the beach for windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, and more. Bathers make use of 2 pools -- one for adults and one for children – and instructors provide easy snorkeling and scuba diving lessons in the main pool. There are plenty of activities on land, too, including tennis on lighted courts, volleyball, and aerobics. Children can join in the fun at the supervised kids' club. There are 3 Restaurants at Allegro Nuevo Vallarta by Occidental:
- La Troje - A Mexican a la carte restaurant, two seatings at 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm, guests can use once per stay, reservations required, men must wear long pants.
- El Caruso Restaurant - An Italian a la carte restaurant, four seatings at 6:30 pm, 7:00 pm, 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm. Reservations required. Children under six are not permitted. Men are required to wear dress shirts and long pants. Guest can use one per stay.
- Topacio - Open air buffet operating three times a day, casual dress (no swimsuits).
